Privacy Policy

Resonance Link is a service by Funktionslust GmbH. This explains what data we process and why, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your music is never recorded or stored. While you resonate, your sound is streamed live to the people you resonate with, or relayed through a mixing server that holds it only for the fraction of a second needed to combine everyone, and is then discarded.

What we process, and why

• Your email address, to sign you in (we email a one-time code, no passwords) and to send invitations you choose to send. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the service).
• Your display name and the people you have resonated with (your "recent" list), to run the app. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
• A device notification token, only if you turn on notifications, so a call can ring when the app is closed. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent); revoke it any time in your device settings.
• Basic technical data (timestamps, coarse connection quality), to keep the service reliable and prevent abuse such as spam. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Who we share it with

We use a small set of vetted providers, each bound by a data-processing agreement:

• Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany), hosting.
• Mailgun, delivering your sign-in codes and invitations by email.
• Apple Push Notification service (iOS) and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android), delivering call notifications, only if you enable them.

Where your data is

Our servers are in Germany. Notifications, if enabled, are delivered via Apple and Google (USA) under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete your account or ask us to. Technical logs are kept only briefly. Your audio is never stored.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email info@funktionslust.digital. You may also complain to a supervisory authority (in Bavaria, the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht).

Blocking

You can block anyone. Blocked people cannot call you or see when you are online.
